Adam J. Lowe's 20 year career spans a substantial body of work creating and managing theatre, international tours, cultural, ceremonial and sporting events and festivals.  Today, as Creative Producer, Adam (and his team at adam lowe group) continues to work across a multitude of disciplines.  Most recently his 7th Victorian State Schools Spectacular - a stadium spectacular that showcases the talents of Victorian Government school students such as Harrison Craig, Jaz Flowers, Ruvarashe Ngwenya and others.

Creative, pragmatic and lateral yet logical in thinking, within creative and management environments for events ranging from small theatre through large stadium theatrical productions and outdoor parades and festivals Adam has worked with creative teams on development, and realization of themes, images and concepts, scripts, storyboards, designs and drawings.  In addition, he has maintained the theatrical director’s intent in the performance of primary cast, as well as the rehearsal and performance of understudy cast/s.

As a team leader, his roles have most often been key to guiding the development and documentation of project budgets, timelines, management and operational strategies and plans, occupational health and safety (OH&S) policy and procedure including return to work rehabilitation programming.

After a successful music theatre career behind the scenes, Adam has Executive Produced each Rob Guest Endowment Gala Concert to date (2009-2013). He has otherwise celebrated greats of music theatre as Executive Producer of The Festival of Broadway featuring composer Stephen Schwartz in candid interview with performances by such legends such as Australia’s own Silvie Paladino, and Broadway star Liz Calloway.

In the world of Festivals: Melbourne’s 2009-12 Midsumma Festivals (Festival Director/CEO). Adam produced and co-directed the Opening Celebrations of the 1st Asia Pacific Outgames at Melbourne Town Hall. 

Adam's international stadium spectacle experience began in 1998 touring Grease - The Arena Spectacular starring Dannii Minogue and Craig McLachlan.  Later, ceremonial stadium theatre alongside David Atkins OAM and others for the Opening and Closing ceremonies of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games (Calling Stage Manager), Doha 2006 15th Asian Games (Production Stage Manager), FINA 2007 World Aquatic Championships (Production Stage Manager), 12th Arab Games Doha 2011 and the 2011 Rugby World Cup – Auckland, New Zealand (Both Production Stage Manager).

With many of Australia's leading theatrical producers Adam has extensive background including musical theatre throughout Australia and Asia: Production Stage Manager on Hot Shoe Shuffle (95-99), Little Shop of Horror's with James Reyne and Christine Anu, An Ideal Husband directed by Sir Peter Hall, A Little Night Music, Chicago – The Musical, The Wizard of Oz (Bert Newton & Nikki Webster), Annie directed by Martin Charnin &, Man of La Mancha  both starring Anthony Warlow also too, Hair, the Full Monty, and the Tony Award winning Mel Brooks Musical The Producers. Company Administrator for The Production Company Season 2004 and 2008-2012

Adam's demeanor is consistent, decisive and calm in high-pressure environments. He is patient, yet tenacious in difficult and challenging environments.  Collaboration is important to Adam, and the success of any team he brings together.  With first hand experience in the structure, recruitment, management and training of teams across all disciplines of event and entertainment delivery, whether it is 2 or 100 team members, or international and multicultural workforces, full time, casual staff, suppliers and sub contractors alike as well as large volunteer workforce teams Adam is experienced in liaison with and / or management of:

Government, public and private sector clients, customers, and authorities.

Media and publicity agents and operators for major theatrical, entertainment and event productions.

High profile and prominent public figures, artists and performers.

All manner of performers in small to large-scale day to day theatrical and event environments.

Outstanding problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills are something Adam prides himself on.  In his role as CEO with Midsumma Festival Inc. in particular he demonstrated these skills by rebuilding the organisations profile within community, and furthering its reputation in the mainstream through difficult financial circumstances and a rapidly changing social and political landscape.

Within a customer relationship management context and more generally in information management Adam has had key involvement in structure and design of purpose built database programs for theatrical and entertainment event production, as well as experience in assessment and selection of candidate solutions for enterprise use. Adam is well versed in, and comfortable to interpret and operate within guidelines or contractual conditions of employee / employer or Client / Contractor contexts including ‘Modern Awards’ and ‘Workplace Agreements’ in the entertainment and event industry.

Since a young age through school vice-captaincy as well as scouting and amateur theatre hobbies and interests he has held significant reporting responsibilities and his experience has led to, exemplary written and verbal reporting including financial and artistic acquittal and auditing of government funding.

Adam's theatrical career began with Australia's Company B, Belvoir, as Stage Manager of the Downstairs Theatre and as a technician on Neil Armfield’s productions of Hamlet and Dead Heart by Nicholas Parsons.  Adam has been Patron of Campbelltown Theatre Group Inc. in New South Wales for many years, and continues to support community arts. Adam holds a  Bachelor of Dramatic Art from the National Institute of Dramatic Art in theatrical production. Among his mentors are David Atkins OAM and Greg Bowman with whom he has worked a many occasions throughout his career.

Love of language, culture and diversity influence Adams daily outlook.  This has led to excellent adaptability.  Adam is easily able to function quickly in new environments, whilst grasping complicated concepts quickly with global understanding. He has travelled extensively throughout Canada, America, Europe, New Zealand, Asia and Australia, and lived in the Persian Gulf for 2.5 years, where he studied the Arabic language, and is moderately conversant in spoken Arabic, and at a basic reading level.
